Originally the Bunkhouse was a small Country and Western music club, which opened its doors in 1969 at The Kings Head, Guisborough..

Shortly after it moved to The Globe Hotel in Guisborough and saw a multitude of British country music acts through its doors

including, Little Ginny, Phil Brady and the Ranchers, Tony Goodacre, The Cleveland Country Cousins, Frank Yonco and literally hundreds more.

The Bunkhouse still continues almost 40 years on, and it is due to this that an idea was born.

Guisborough based Spotlight Studio will be filming 6 half hour episodes in the studio aptly named “The Bunkhouse.”  Filming starts in July 2007.

The program schedule has not yet been completed and the producers are still considering which acts will be taking part.

Although the program is primarily British, a number of American and European acts have also shown an interest.

We are still selecting British acts and would like to hear from any solo, duo, trio or bands that would like to be considered for the program.
